Ezra’s example

I was reading about Ezra and came across something in my bibles notes. It says that he is believed to have written Psalm 119. So I apologize for saying that it was David yesterday.

In Ezra we find a wonderful example of what we, as parents, need to do.

Ezra 7:10 “For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.”

Note the four things Ezra did:
1. He prepared his heart
2. He sought the law of the Lord
3. He did it
4. He taught others

If we are going to teach our children we need to prepare our hearts, study God’s Word, and obey him.

Psalm 78:4

We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.
