When the bible is not our standard
I’m behind in posting…I’ve been working hard at getting all my lesson planning done for the entire school year!
Here and there when I need a break I go over to bloglines and check the some of the blogs. I came across something very alarming!
Start here to read the story about Abraham Cherrix.
When the Bible is not our standard, people make up their own truth and standards. This is so dangerous! So now whenever someone in this world decides that you are making a wrong choice…based on whatever standard they’ve made….you can be charged with being a neglectful parent!
As a Christian and a homeschooler, I feel like I’m already going against mainstream America. And who’s to say that I might not be the next target? Or you?
Lord, send revival to this land!

Quiet Times
Having a quiet time has always been a struggle. I don’t think I’m the only one.
Check out what Tim has to say, it will give you something to think about!

Vacation and planning
I have been busy planning for this coming school year. I am helping to lead a co-op of sorts and have made a booklist for us. If you have been following the posts that I started about selecting my picks for curriculum then you might want to check out our list.
This week I’ll be heading with my husband on a little vacation to Banff. I’m sure we will have a great time, although I’m not sure I’m looking forward to the gondola ride as I’m afraid of heights! I’ll try to post a couple of pictures when we get back.
