Renewing Your Mind

April 20, 2006

Romans 12:2 (KJV) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Using Strong’s Concordance we find:
renew means “a renewal, renovation, complete change for the better”
transformed means “to change into another form, transfigure”

and we find some other verses here as well:

Ephesians 4:23-24 (KJV) And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Colossians 3:10 (KJV) And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

The main thing that I come away with from Romans is that yes, I do need to be transformed. And this transformation involves renewing my mind, making a change for the better. I need to begin all my thoughts and ideas in God’s Word. This will happen as I study God’s Word.

We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.
